2Data We Collect

The developer does not collect, sell, or store your scan history. The app does not require an account.

• No account or registration required
• No analytics or tracking
• No advertising SDKs
• No crash reporting services
• No developer-operated backend for scan history

3Camera Permission

The app requests camera access solely to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time. Camera data is processed locally on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

4Gallery Access

If you choose to scan a QR code from an image, the app accesses only the specific image you select. No images are uploaded or stored beyond the scanning operation.

5Local Storage

App preferences and enabled scan history are stored locally on your device using standard platform storage. You can clear history at any time.

6Online Lookups

Only when the corresponding online feature is used, the minimum query needed is sent directly to its provider:

• A scanned URL to Google Safe Browsing for a threat check
• A supported product barcode to Open Food Facts for product details
• Latitude and longitude to Nominatim/OpenStreetMap for an address

The developer does not receive or store these queries, and the app does not intentionally add an advertising or device identifier. The provider may receive ordinary network metadata, such as an IP address, as part of the internet request and processes it under its own privacy terms.

7Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not offer accounts, advertising, or social features.

If we update this privacy policy, changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
